Card and Fob Readers

Access Control cards and fobs can be used in association with suitable proximity readers to control single or multiple access points around site in stand-alone or networked system installations. Networked systems can communicate by LAN or WAN, providing the capability to operate multiple sites on one centralised access control system.
Our cards can be printed on in full colour to allow a company to customise the appearance of the cards, or to create a personalised access control and identification card, while the fobs are simple to use with their compact dimensions make them easy to carry.
Keypads

A keypad provides one of the most straight forward means of controlling a door, gate, barrier or other means of access control. A code is entered into the pad by the user, and when a correct code is recognised the door/barrier will open and allow the user to gain entrance.
There are a wide range of keypads available with varying features depending upon the requirements of your particular organisation or business. These features include the ability to store and use multiple codes, back lit keys, and surface or flush mounting in a number of standard and vandal resistant finishes.
Keypads can be integrated with intercoms to provide easy access for staff members while visitors will have to ring through to reception via the intercom to gain entry.
Our sales team will provide advice and recommendations on the best ones to suit the specific requirements of your business.
Intercoms

Intercoms are without doubt the most well-known and recognised method of controlling access to a site, whether it be a pedestrian door or vehicular barrier.
Our range of intercoms cater for everything from basic single entrance door control through to multi door, multi handset installations in large buildings.
Video intercoms incorporate an image from the intercom which is displayed on the screen of the handset providing the person answering the call with a visual connection to the visitor attempting to gain access to the building.
The intercoms can be surface or flush mounted, or remotely located on posts to allow easy access from a vehicle at the entrance to a site.
There are now two options for the installation of an intercom, which can be either hard wired or activated wirelessly.
Hard wired systems provide a physical link between the intercom and the receiving handset while GSM systems deliver a truly wireless solution using mobile phone technology. These systems allow a visitor to contact reception (or the designated gate/entrance controller)by using a mobile signal to call specified mobiles or land lines, allowing the visitor to announce their arrival, and the operator to open the door or gate by simply pushing a button on their phone or mobile handset. GSM intercoms are extremely popular for gate systems and remote installations where cabling an installation would be particularly challenging or not cost effective as no physical link back to a telephone is required.
There are many styles of intercom panel and handset and our sales team will provide advice and recommendations on the best ones to suit the specific requirements of your business.
Entry Control Systems

Access control measures such as gates, bollards and barriers need to have some means of actuation to allow authorised personnel or visitors on to your premises.
There are many ways of controlling this access, and the correct method will take into account your requirements as a user of the system.
Normally these will take the form of an intercom, a keypad, a proximity reader using key fobs or cards, or even a BioAccess technology such as finger print recognition.
Vehicular entry can be achieved via an intercom, radio key fobs or license plate recognition.
In many instances a combination of several control mechanisms is required in order to meet all access needs, and ensuring that the correct combinations are specified will make for a simple and easy to use installation which will have minimal operational impact upon the business while tightening up the security of the site.
Both stand-alone and networked solutions are available with CDA Access Control systems capable of managing unlimited site or building entrance points, and up to 10,000 registered users through an easily administered management database. Networked systems also allow complete control of your site through the simple programming of each member of staffs card or fob, defining which doors they are, and are not, allowed to pass through. Furthermore the system can produce reports showing which users have been where and at what times, delivering complete control and traceability to your staff and site.
The following pages outline the different types of control methods available, and our sales team will provide expert advice on the best solutions to meet the requirements of your business following the completion of a site survey.
